WebABLLS is the online version of the internationally recognized ABLLS-R (The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills – Revised). Developed by James Partington, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and is backed by scientific research and evidence-based practice. Validated and reliable, WebABLLS is designed for use with learners on the autism spectrum, with language delays, or other developmental disabilities.
When implemented in conjunction with comprehensive programming, learners acquire the ability to learn from their everyday experiences while educators, parents, and professionals are empowered to share data and strategies that enhance collaboration across all learning environments.
I have to say the online version saved me a week’s worth of trying to sum the ABLLS-R up in narrative form. Now I just create an info page, print the entire ABLLS-R and a recommendation page and done. You all have saved me a ton of time. Thank you.
I am speechless! WebABLLS is outstanding! With two kids on the spectrum, this was just what I needed and worth every penny!
Thank you for creating this versatile tool in Spanish. It allows us to bridge the communication gap between home and school – plus, it’s saved our district time and money hiring translators.
At the core of WebABLLS is the assessment component of the ABLLS-R® developed by Dr. Partington. This assessment can be used by educators, clinicians, and parents to facilitate the identification of skills needed by their learners to communicate effectively and learn from everyday experiences.
WebABLLS features 3 edit modes for scoring assessments:
The criterion-referenced assessment within WebABLLS provides a comprehensive review of 544 skills from 25 skill areas including language, social interaction, self-help, academic, and motor skills. The task items within each skill area are arranged from simpler to more complex tasks. Expressive language skills are assessed based on the Behavioral Analysis of Language as presented by Dr. B.F. Skinner in his book, Verbal Behavior (1957).
A key feature within WebABLLS is the ability to track a learner’s progress over time. Tracking is built into the platform – automatic and simple. Each assessment period is color coded providing a visual marker related to the assessment date. Behind the color-coded grid, WebABLLS tags the score with information about each score – even the learner’s age is calculated automatically.
The Skills Tracking Grid has been designed to allow for each skill area to be measured and analyzed for the degree of acquisition. Analysis of this information provides the base for building the foundation for what to teach and when to move forward.
Report functions within WebABLLS give the user a variety of choices in creating reporting documents that correlate directly with the learner’s assessment scores. Users can create and customize reports that can be shared electronically or downloaded for print distribution.
Reports available in WebABLLS:
Successful teaching includes knowing both what to teach and how to teach. Using the tools within WebABLLS assists the user in determining what to teach. An analysis of the Skills Tracking Grid leads to identifying next steps, which in turn generates a report related to the assessment. All of these steps merge together, and the “what to teach” begins to evolve. Users also have unlimited access to the ABLLS-R guide which contains practical strategies for program development.
